Oh, and dad got a new job as the tech director at Kelly Middle school. Also teaching Yearbook. No more LHS and driving 2 hours a day.

So cute.

I've noticed that the amount of lj posts has gone down. I for one know that I probably could never really leave this site. I might forget about it, and stop posting for a while, but then find it later and then be like 'HO SNAP! Imma gonna post everysingleday.'

Done it before, will probably do it again.

I went on a nice bike ride today yesterday.

I cant stop hiccuping...

And apparently, I have a bunch private jokes with myself. I guess that's what happens when you make an ass of your self, and no one (else) is there to witness it.

Tiberious died. While he was laying on me. I am not OK.

I feel like it was my fault, even tho it probably wasn't.

It didn't help that I ended up finishing The Half-Blood Prince 20 minutes ago.

I just found this on 420chan. It is quite long, but a good read; basically, when Ash is first stuck by lightning in the beginning of the series, he is sent into a coma, and all of his adventures since then have been his mind helping him overcome aspects of his personality that he must come to terms with, and hopefully help him wake up.

MIND FUCK.

Jul. 8th, 2009 02:20 am We all need money

So I am considering selling commissions online to make some extra cash. Is this a good idea? Also, how much do you think I should charge if I do?

I found a community on DA that helps users get commissions, and I plan on joining it, but I need to decide all of the logistics out first (what to sell, and for how much) => => LINK

Jul. 6th, 2009 04:13 pm hey, look, I am posting!

So I've been thinking, and I have realized my main problem with the 'Anime' art style. It tends towards making every one pretty (old and evil people aside) or just overly simplistic. People are not all good looking, even the pretty ones usually have some imperfection. It makes us interesting. Anime tends to gloss over imperfection, which is one of the reasons noses are usually non existent in the style (because noses are not that attractive of a body part). The simplification of the face also severely limits the differences in expressions, thus the use of those absurd little sweat drops, blush marks, and such to show emotion. (Not that I don't use any of those...)

Another issue that this causes is that every one looks alike. If you remove the hair, clothes, and color, the only distinctive feature for most characters is the eye shape. But even then, many artists have little differentiation in that regard.

Example
Anime Snape

Non-Anime Snape

Which do you prefer?

Also- Was it just me, or wasn't Snape spost to have a goatee?

Jun. 25th, 2009 11:43 pm *tear*

So I just finished watching Milk, and it was amazing. Fucking Sean Penn, and his ability to act. It was so moving. Dad and I had to pause it several times to discuss random stuff tho. And yet again, James Franco plays an adorable stoner.

I always wonder what it would be like to be a straight actor playing a *really* gay character. Even going as far as a sex scene or two. I mean Penn and Franco share several deep kisses, and Penn even ends up end bed with some guy. I wonder how they felt about that.

The thing that got me the most was at the end, when they do a brief paragraph about each person and then show a picture of the actor followed by an photo/film clip of the actual person. It just drove the point home that this actually happened. I mean I know it is a true story, but to see the faces of the people the story is about just impacted me so much more. Harvey Milk looked like such a happy man.

On a completely unrelated note, I have just added the movie Black Sheep to my netflix queue. With a description like this, how could I not?-

"On a quiet New Zealand ranch, a genetic experiment has gone horribly wrong, transforming a docile flock of sheep into killers hungry for human blood. Those they bite become ravenous were-sheep. As the body count rises, a desperate handful of outnumbered survivors take a last stand against the ovine onslaught. Who will live, and who will be the next victim of the vicious killer sheep?"

Who wants to watch this with me?

So while my dad was napping, I watched Ravenous on his computer. God I love that movie. I think it is the music.

Once it was done, I ended up going to the car to get the cooler because I was hungry. I told my dad this and he gave me a really funny look.

So because my dad is old and tired, we are not camping tonight. Instead we got another room, and he is now napping.

I need to go camping at Glacier National Park. That place was fucking amazing.

The Hangover was funny as shit. See it if you get the chance.

There is also a random Jonas Brothers reference near the end.

Jun. 23rd, 2009 05:34 pm I actually quite like No Doubt

So its kinda funny how much time I have spent in Sisters. There really isn't anything here, yet I have spent at least 3 Spikes around this area, and visited several times with my family. I even have created a city named Three Sisters in my little fantasy world. Not named after the real town or the mountains for that matter.

I think its funny that people in the Willamette Valley refer to anything East on the Cascades as Eastern Oregon when in reality Sisters/Bend/Maupin are all Central Oregon.

Now the real question is what movie should dad and I see tonight; Year One, or The Hangover? I want to see both of them, and cant decide.

Jun. 22nd, 2009 11:59 pm Look what I found on my flist

How does this story sound- Britney Spears plays a young woman by the name of Sophia LaMont who builds a time machine and travels back to WW2 where she meets a Jewish man named Eton in a concentration camp. They fall in love and plan to travel back to the future together to get married, but are killed by Nazis.

Silly right? Well they are apparently making a movie about it.
